Sturline Van Meter

Sturline Van Meter, 89, of Redding died Monday, Jan. 8, 1996, at Mercy Medical Center in Redding.

No services will be conducted.

Burial will be at Lawncrest Memorial Park in Redding.

Born Jan. 25, 1906, in Almartha, Mo., he moved to Shasta County in 1967 from Orland.

He was a laborer for J.F. Shea in Redding.

Survivors include sons John of Minneapolis, Stanley of Orland and Lester of Pahrump, Nev.; daughter Roberta Merkle of Redding; sister Chloe Randolph of Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Lawncrest Chapel in Redding.
