Raymond LeRoy Van Meter

Services for Raymond LeRoy Van Meter, 45, Eudora, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Lawrence.

Mr. Van Meter died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, at Lakeview Manor.

He was born June 26, 1957, in Lawrence, the son of Alfred and Joan (Hershell) Van Meter.

Mr. Van Meter was a press operator at Hallmark Cards for more than 25 years.

He married Roxanne Brecheisen on April 23, 1983, in Eudora. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his father, Lawrence; two sons, Jacob Lee and Kyle William, both of the home; and a sister, Rhonda Joan Nemecheck of Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice or Lakeview Manor, sent in care of the mortuary.
