Rachel G. Van Meter

Rachel G. Van Meter, 86, died Monday in Saint Anne Home.

The Fort Wayne native retired in 1969 as a meat cutter for Marsh Supermarkets after 16 years. She was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and widow of Harry.

Surviving are four sisters, Isabelle Boren, Nellie Cobbum and Helen Horn, all of Fort Wayne, and Alice Bowley of Burlington, nieces and nephews.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday in D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, where calling is 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Saint Anne Home.
