Paul E. Van Meter

VINCENNES, Ind. - Paul E. Van Meter, 81, died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday at his home.

He retired as a truck driver for A & H Truck Lines and was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Harmony Society, Masonic Lodge No. 1 and Scottish Rite and Hadi Shrine, both of Evansville.

Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie M. Hagemeier; two sons, David of Wabash and Charles of Leeds, Ala.; a sister, Verena Crispen of Melbourne, Fla.; and a granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a.m. EST Monday at Gardner Funeral Home, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be conducted at 4 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Hospice or Masonic Lodge No. 1.
