Pattie Field Van Meter

Pattie Field Van Meter Houlihan, who was active in church and community affairs, died yesterday at her home at 326 Holiday Road. She was 74.

She had been a member of the Chrysalis House board and a deacon at First Presbyterian Church. She also had been a member of the Lexington Junior League, Needlework Guild and Idle Hour Country Club.

Mrs. Houlihan, a Winchester native, was a 1939 graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she also was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma social sorority.

Survivors include her husband, Robert F. Houlihan; two daughters, Frances Field Houlihan of Lexington and Mae Mae Gabbert of Louisville; a son, Robert F. Houlihan Jr. of Lexington; a sister; a brother; and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at W.R. Milward Mortuary -- Broadway.

Contributions are suggested to Chrysalis House.
