Opal Van Meter

Opal Van Meter, 82, Salina, died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007.

Mrs. Van Meter was born Opal Bruns on Feb. 27, 1924, in Longford. She was a retired secretary for Exline.

Survivors include her husband, Eldon, of Salina; two sons, Quentin Van Meter of Wichita and Terry Owens of Crossroads, Texas; and a daughter, Pamela Rowson of Savage, Minn.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina 67401. A graveside burial will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Gypsum City Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the chapel, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
