MARGARET MINCH VAN METER

MARGARET MINCH VAN METER, 73, of Moorestown, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly.

Mrs. Van Meter was the widow of Dr. Ralph Van Meter. She was a graduate of Douglass College, Class of 1941, and had worked at the Philadelphia Free Library, Temple University Library, Library of Pennsylvania Hospital and the Moorestown Free Library. For many years, Mrs. Van Meter was a volunteer at the Moorestown Friends Meeting Library. She was a member and past president of the Burlington County Medical Auxiliary, an associate member of the Curtis Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital of Burlington County, Mount Holly and a member of the Corporation of Friends Hospital in Philadelphia.

Mrs. Van Meter was a member of the Moorestown Free Library Association and the Moorestown Historical Society and for 18 years was a member of the School Committee of the Moorestown Friends School. She also was a life member of the Green Mountain Club in Montpelier, Vt.

Survivors: a son, Laurence R. of Newtown, Pa.; two daughters, Janice V. Stavenick of Westfield and Gretchen V. Rector of Moorestown; six grandchildren, and a brother, Edwin L. of Manchester, Conn.

Services: memorial, 2 p.m. Saturday, Moorestown Friends Meeting House, Main Street, Moorestown; burial, private. Lewis Funeral Home, Moorestown.
