Linda H. Van Metre

Linda H. Van Metre, 60, of Lewisburg passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, in CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.

Linda was born Sept. 25, 1947, in Ronceverte to Forest G. "Suicide" and Betty Armstrong Holt.

Linda graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1965 and from beauty school in 1966. She was a medical assistant with Valley Medical Associates and a member of Ronceverte Presbyterian Church.

Survivors: her husband, James M. Van Metre IV of Lewisburg; parents, Forest "Suicide" and Betty Armstrong Holt of Ronceverte; daughters and their husbands, Judy V. and Timothy Poore of Richmond, Va., and Karen V. and Victor Parks of Bluefield; grandchildren, Samuel Dylan Poore, Jaelynn Christine Parks and Victoria Lee Parks; and mother-in-law, Mrs. James (Wilda) Van Metre III of Lewisburg.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Stephen Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
