Kathleen Taylor VanMeter

April 20, 1921 -- March 28, 2004

Kathleen Taylor VanMeter, 82, of Modesto died Sunday at her home.

Ms. VanMeter was a native of Marysville, Tenn., and lived in Modesto three years. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and travel, and was an accomplished seamstress.

She is survived by her children, William Franklin Van Meter of Texas, Carolyn Phillippe of Modesto, Connie

Leonard of Portland, Ore., and Debbie Strong of Anaheim; brother, Robert Keith Taylor of Hemet; sisters, Betty Zaiger of Modesto and Marilyn Clawson of Saratoga; and 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private services. Eaton Family Funeral & Cremation Service in charge of arrangements.

Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 601 McHenry Ave., Modesto 95350.
