Katherine W. Van Meter

SHERMAN - Katherine W. Van Meter, 99, of Sherman died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Villa Health Care East in Sherman.

She was born Dec. 15, 1900, in Peotone, the daughter of William J. and Bertha Koepke Wahls.

She worked as a social worker for the Department of Public Aid, having retired after 31 years of service. She was a member of Unity Church of Springfield and Gertrude McKelvey Circle of the King's Daughters.

There are no survivors.

Graveside services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Peotone Cemetery, Peotone, the Rev. David McDonald officiating.

Bisch and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
