Homa Mae Van Meter

Homa Mae, was born July 24, 1908 in Woodville, Marshall Co., OK, to George Skipworth Henry and Emma Pearl Cook Henry. She attended school in Woodville, where she graduated from high school in 1925. She later attended Draughon Business College in Okla. City and attended the University of Oklahoma. She was married to Albert P. Van Meter on Aug. 5, 1928 and has resided in OKC for the past 60 years. She has been a longtime member of Crown Heights United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Judge Albert P. Van Meter of Canterbury Health Center; 1 daughter, Mrs. John R. (Ella Sue) Owen of Okla. City; 1 son, Albert P. Van Meter, Jr. of Seattle, WA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters, Okla Cay lor, her twin sister of Whitewright, TX, Inez Burns and Willie Belle Nordstrom of Okla. City and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, Mona Jim Fuller of Nocona, TX and 1 brother, Samuel Wright Henry of Kingston, OK . Services are 10:00 am Tuesday Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Chapel with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
