Grace Marie VanMeter

GRACE MARIE VANMETER, 83, Lima, died at 5:15 a.m. March 25, 2003, at Beverly Health Care Center.

She was born Feb. 11, 1920, in Savage, Mont., to Albert and Mary Cotter Chandler, who preceded her in death. On July 26, 1938, she married Dave VanMeter, who died Sept. 30, 1987.

Mrs. VanMeter was a homemaker. She had been a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and bingo.

Survivors include two sons, David (Sherry) VanMeter of Lima and Sherman (Barbara) VanMeter of Austin, Texas; a brother, Cliff (Pauline) Chandler of Fall River, Mass.; a sister, Donna (Lyle) Carter of Big River, Calif.; and eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Doug Adams will officiate.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
