George E. Vanmeter

LESLIE - George E. Vanmeterr, 59, of Leslie died April 3, 1997, in Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, after a long illness.

He was a former brickyard kiln operator.

Surviving: wife, Pamela Richmond Vanmeter; daughter, Sue Ann Vanmeter of Leslie; sons, George E. Jr. of Monroe, N.C., Kevin James of Leslie; sisters, Betty Soos of Leslie, Lousie Richmond of North Carolina; brothers, Wilbert of Leslie, Denver of McRoss, Albert and Johnny, both of Quinwood, Charles of Goshen, Va., Hubert of Rainelle, Fredrick of Crichton; three grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel, Rainelle, with the Rev. Robert Newman officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
