Debra VanMeter

WASHBURN - Debra Kay VanMeter, 41, of Washburn died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at her sister's home in Roanoke.

She was born Jan. 10, 1961, in Peoria to Roy Clifford and Christine Messick VanMeter.

Surviving are two sons, Nicholas Lynn and Phillip Joseph, both of Washburn; two granddaughters; three brothers, Elmer (and Ruth) Stanley of Coal Camp, Mo., William (and Janice) Stanley of Gainesville, Ga., and Clifford (and Kay) VanMeter of Chillicothe; and four sisters, Carolyn (and Gary) Nauman of Metamora, Barbara (and John) Clark of San Antonio, Texas, Judy (and Arnold) Stoens of Roanoke and Glenda (and Ed) Christy of Apison, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

She worked in the catering business at Eureka College and at the Peoria Civic Center.

She was a member of United Methodist Church in Washburn, where services will be at 7 p.m. today. The Rev. David Pyell will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Rockwood. Arrangements are by Hough Funeral Home in Raymond.
