CHARLES A. VAN METER Charles A. Van Meter, 82, Overland Park, KS, passed away Friday, September 7, 2001, at Garden Terrace of Overland Park. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Chapel, I-435 at Holmes Rd.; burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon-1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Heartland Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208-0076. Mr. Van Meter was born November 29, 1918, in Richmond, MO. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie Van Meter, of the home, son, Larry Van Meter, granddaughters, Jill Rembusch and her husband Shane, and June Van Meter, great-grand- daughter, Emily Rembusch, sister, Alice Boyce and nephew, Charles Boyce.
