BETHANY, MO - Carl Nelson Van Meter, 80, Bethany, MO, departed this life on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at his home in Bethany, MO.

Survivors include his wife, of 59 years, Jeanie Van Meter; one brother, Paul (Sharon) Van Meter, Kansas City, MO; one son, Jerry (Donna) Van Meter, Bethany, MO; two daughters, Nancy Van Meter and companion, Roy Bond, Bethany, MO and Carlene (Jon) Broce of Kirksville, MO; six grandchildren, Jeremy Van Meter, Amber Parkhurst, Justine Broce, Jenna Broce, Haley Van Meter and Jonathan Broce; three great-grandchildren, Jaren, Kasten and Jansen Van Meter.

Funeral Services were be held at 2:00 p.m.

Monday, January 3, 2011 at Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. Burial with military rites in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, MO. The family received friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 2 at the funeral home. The family requests donations to the First Christian Church and/or Harrison County Hospice in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
