Chief Master Sergeant (Ret.) Arnold E. Van Meter, Jr., 77, of Boynton Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2006, with his family by his side. He graduated Class of 1947 from Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, MD. He served in the Air Force for 26 years. He was later employed as Director of Human Resources with the American Counseling Association in Alexandria, VA, retiring in 1993 and moving to Florida. He was also a member of the F.& A.M. in Laramie, WY. Arnold is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn B. (Knotts) Van Meter; children Vicki L. (Jeff) Price, Richard L. Van Meter, Terri J. (Charlie) Black, and Ronald A. (Lisa Brunswick) Van Meter; grandchildren Jennifer Price, Rebecca (Josh) Stewart, Emily (Brandon) Granados, Robert J. Akridge, Elizabeth Brunswick, and Bonnie Van Meter; and great-grandchildren Ethan Stewart, Emma Stewart, and Anthony Granados. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Boynton Memorial Chapel, 800 W. Boynton Beach Blvd., Boynton Beach, FL 33426. A religious service will be held on Wednesday at 1pm at the funeral home. Military honors and burial will take place at Boynton Beach Memorial Park.
